It is with terrible news we can report that the Gumpert Apollo that has been present at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed has sadly had an accident on its way up the hillclimb.

There is not any immediate word on the condition of the driver or passenger but our hopes are that there were no major injuries suffered.

Driver was fine, took an hour however, to extract the passenger. There was no word at the event as to the condition of the passenger but touch wood all is OK.
ReplyDeletePassenger is fine. She spent 5 hrs in hospital, but just suffered bruises. I watched the accident, and it was worrying, the length of time to get her out, but she has been on twitter and said she is ok.
DeleteIt took just over 15 minutes to extract the passenger frmo the car. There were doctors and/ or paramedics with her at all times.
DeleteThe medical and rescue crew were with the car within 90 seconds.
To say the extraction took over an hour is farcical.
